GoTravelora exists to help people discover great places to visit across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and beyond. We take the trustworthiness of our content seriously and want to be fully transparent about how it is created.

Our mission

To publish accurate, useful, and culturally-aware travel guides that respect both the visitor and the local community. Every guide should answer real traveler questions — what to see, when to go, how much it costs, and how to behave respectfully.

How we source information

  • Place data comes from open sources (OpenStreetMap, Wikidata, official tourism portals) and from direct submissions by business owners through our claim form.
  • Photos come from Wikimedia Commons, Unsplash, licensed stock partners, and contributions from owners.
  • Prices, hours, and policies change frequently — we always recommend verifying directly with the venue before visiting.

How we use AI

We use large-language-model tools (including Google Gemini and OpenAI GPT models) to help us draft, translate, and summarize travel content at scale. AI assists; humans direct. Specifically:

  • Long-form city and topic guides are AI-assisted drafts that we review and refine. They are clearly tagged as travel guides, not personal trip reports.
  • Translations between English, Arabic, French, Spanish, and German are produced with AI and reviewed for tone and cultural fit.
  • We do not generate fake reviews, fake ratings, or fake user- generated content. Ratings on place pages come from third-party sources or owner submissions.
  • Hero and decorative imagery is sourced from licensed photography — we do not present AI-generated images as real photos of real places.

Accuracy & corrections

Despite our review process, mistakes happen — venues close, prices shift, neighborhoods change. If you spot an error, please tell us and we will fix or remove the content within a few business days.

Independence & advertising

Editorial guides are written independently of advertising. Sponsored placements, if any, are clearly labeled. Display ads provided by third-party networks (Google AdSense) are separated from editorial content and never influence which places we recommend.

Ownership claims

Business owners can claim, correct, or request removal of their listing through the claim form on each place page. We verify ownership before granting edit access.
